OUR PHILOSOPHY:

We believe that the connection we have with our clients is the most important contributor to a successful outcome in a therapeutic relationship.  We are a team of dedicated mental health professionals that are committed to providing quality services to the individuals and families that we work with.  We strive to be inclusive and practice from a multicultural and multidisciplinary perspective.

Our team is diverse and we have many different areas of expertise including, but not limited to: substance abuse, children, domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, social and interpersonal skills development, the juvenile justice system, and issues specific to the LGBTQIA+ community. We participate in continuing education to ensure that we are using best practices to meet the needs of our clients and our community.

Many of our clinicians are certified and practice Multidimensional Family Therapy and our entire team recently completed training to become Certified Disaster Mental Health Response Specialists (CDMHRS). Each of our mental health clinicians have multiple trainings in trauma-informed therapies.

Community Chest, Inc. is part of the Zero Suicide initiative. All of our therapists, Safe School Professionals, Case Managers and most of our Community Chest employees are SafeTALK trained. All of our therapists and many of our Safe School Professionals and Case Managers are trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) for teens and adults . By the end of September 2022 our team will be fully trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
