Mental Health & Substance Use Counseling

News & events:

Due to COVID19, Community Chest’s Counseling and Advocacy team is currently offering online counseling services to members of Storey, Lyon and, Mineral Counties and extended areas for reduced rates. For service members (EMS, Health Care Workers, Fire, Police, and Military) we are offering brief therapy (6-8 weeks) and Support Groups for little to no cost on a case by case basis. Our school-based therapists are offering free children’s support groups several times a week to help our youth stay engaged with peers while processing the anxiety of our rapidly changing lives. Our domestic violence advocates are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for consultation, support, and guidance through filling out protection orders and navigating court processes and connecting victim’s with much needed services. Now more than ever it is important to stay connected. Check back frequently for further updates.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

We believe that the connection we have with our clients is the most important contributor to a successful outcome in a therapeutic relationship.  We are a team of dedicated mental health professionals that are committed to providing quality services to the individuals and families that we work with.  We strive to be inclusive and practice from a multicultural and multidisciplinary perspective.

Our team is diverse and we have many different areas of expertise including, but not limited to: substance abuse, children, domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, social and interpersonal skills development, the juvenile justice system, and issues specific to the LGBTQ community. We continue to participate in continuing education to ensure that we are using best practices to meet the needs of our clients and our community.

Most of our clinicians are certified and practice Multidimensional Family Therapy.

PAYMENT:
We accept Medicaid and Nevada Check Up insurance.  We also offer a Sliding Fee Discount Program as we are committed to serving all clients regardless of ability to pay.
