Displaced Homemaker Program Changes Lives

Community Chest’s Displaced Homemaker Program provides employment services, support, and resources to homemakers who must transition back into the workforce due to their household losing its primary wage earner’s income because of divorce, death, disability, or job loss.

Our Case Manager, Kelly Ibarra, explains employment challenges for rural Nevada residents and the services provided by this program; and a program participant discusses how she is becoming self-sufficient with the support and skills she has developed from enrolling.
